RESEARCH INTERESTS:

1/  Using kinetic approaches (embodied cognition/image schemata) to develop creative writing with application to community groups.

  • Short joint action research project with Dr Maria Kapsali, following on from her thesis on the use of yoga in actors’ training and in theatre making, exploring the link between yoga and writing, using my own writing as practice research, summer 2013,

  • The impact of dance on creative writing and literacy– working with the University of Brighton, Shoreham Academy school and Three Score older dancers’ group. November 2011 – January 2012

 

2/ The training of artists to work in community settings within an international context

  • Vocational training for writers. an international comparison
